Make a day of it in Millheim! Come in to see our extensive collection of beautiful handcrafted jewelry from a number of local and regional craftsmen working with sterling silver, semi-precious gems, and handmade glass beads. We also have many other beautiful craft items as well as original paintings, sculpture, and photography.

Now, "On Stage at the Drake" many Friday evenings starting at 7:30. Come and enjoy our scheduled performer or Open Mic. First Fridays will continue to be our special art show receptions, also with live music.

We now carry a growing collection of CDs by regional musicians and books by regional authors. You'll be amazed at the talent here in central Pennsylvania.

May 2012 - "Penns Valley High School Art Show"

Join us for our first hosting of the Penns Valley High School annual fine art show. See exciting work by some of the best of the high school's young artists. The May 4 reception will feature readings of poetry and prose by high school students as well as several teachers and former teachers. We will also have live music at the reception. The reception is from 6 pm until at least 9, with music and poetry starting at 7. Refreshments as always!

A very special show that looks at what makes a family of talented artists tick. Featuring new work by nationally-known sculptor Mark Pilato, as well as brother Michael, sister Natalia, mother Grace, and other members of this amazing family.

October 2012 - "Hameau Farm Art Retreats - a Retrospective"

Planning a wedding this year? Do you value original fine art and quality handmade crafts? We offer a unique wedding registry at the Green Drake. The couple-to-be can come in and browse our collection for just the right pottery, art furniture, wall art, sculpture, and other functional and beautiful items in every price range. Then we'll create an elegant display for your friends and family to choose from at their leisure. We can even photograph and label the display to create a private registry web page where wedding guests at a distance can shop in advance of the wedding. Email us or call for details.

Additional hours will be coming, in addition to later evening hours for opening receptions and other special events. Arrangements can also be made for private art viewings and receptions for groups.

The Green Drake offers many levels of involvement for artists and art lovers in a broad range of visual and performance arts. The membership-based Arts Community space and semi-private artist studios on the second floor are already seeing use. Please inquire if you would like information about either.
